The song and music video were inspired by the events surrounding the disappearance of Natalee Holloway. The music video caught the eye of pop music sensation JC Chasez of NSync, which he handpicked to feature on his new Indie Music Artist website launch called “MusicFreedom.” The release of “Breath” catapulted Crisstoffer. The song and music video kept Crisstoffer on the daily “Most Requested,” “Most Viewed,” and “Most Buzzed” daily music charts for several months. The music video became such a hit, that aLion Recording Entertainment released a sequel simply entitled “Breath2.” But, with every “major hit” comes a “major fit,” as a few views deemed the music video untactful, due to the nature of its content. Despite the controversial reviews, Crisstoffer’s indie status was so well received on MusicFreedom and Sony’s MusicNation Indie Artist PodCast Radio sites that all four of his music videos ran simultaneously on Comcast Cable’s MV(music video)Spy TV show across the nation.
